JAMMU, Aug 14: Different organizations here today participated in nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga movement of PM Modi and organized Tiranga rallies.
Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) celebrated ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with full zeal and patriotic fervor at University of Jammu. Director DDE, Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, students, faculty and staff members were present on the occasion.
Under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta along with JMC Chairman of Social Justice Committee, Ajay Gupta distributed National Flags in Ward number 52 and a large number of people of the Ward joined the celebrations to mark 75 years of independence.

Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta along with BJP Jammu district president, Vinay Gupta flagged off a Tiranga bike-car rally organized by BJP Ward 50 Councillor, Neena Gupta, BJP J&K State IT Head, Ishant Gupta and BJP Jammu District Secretary, Pushpinder Singh Charak. The rally covered most areas in Channi Himmat.
Thousands of BJP functionaries and workers undertook a 40 km Har Ghar Tiranga rally in Kathua district, carrying 75 meter long and four meter wide Tricolor, marking the 75th Independence Day, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign. The rally was organized by senior BJP leader, Satish Sharma and joined by senior BJP leaders Devender Singh Rana, former Ministers Pawan Gupta and Rajiv Jasrotia,
“Overwhelmed to watch the response of the people to Tiranga Yatra, which has become a focal point not only across the country but globally,” said Rana terming the participation as endorsement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of India First.
He said that Modi’s New India is in the making with the agenda of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.
“Certainly the will of the people and commitment of the government will manifest in India becoming the Vishwaguru,” Rana maintained.
To celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, former Minister and senior BJP leader, Choudhary Sukhnandan organized a Tiranga tractor rally in Marh block in which over 400 tractors, bikes and other vehicles participated. Raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, PM Modi Zindabad, BJP Zindabad, the rally showed respect to the nation, army and security forces who always remain ready to sacrifice their lives for peace in the country.
As a part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark the celebration of 75 years of independence, BJP Transport Cell, J&K organized a Tiranga rally in Channi Himmat area. The rally was organized by Ashutosh Gupta, Convener and Roshan Lal, Co-Convener of the Cell. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister and general secretary BJP J&K, Prant Sah Sanghchalak of RSS, Dr. Gautam Mengi and Rakesh Mahajan, Incharge All Cell BJP J&K and others participated in the rally.
Ranbir Singh Pathania, spokesperson J&K BJP hoisted Tricolour in houses of martyrs, soldiers and prominent persons from Udhampur under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. He called upon the Government and civil society to take part in this noble initiative of giving respect to martyrs.
As a part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark the celebration of 75 years of independence, former MLC and senior BJP leader, Vikram Randhawa took out a Tiranga bike rally in R.S Pura. He was accompanied by Geetu Aulakh, DDC member, Surjeet Singh, Sonam Aulakh, Gurdeep Singh, Farman Ali, all Sarpanchs and others.
JMC Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma started Har Ghar Tiranga rally under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and a large number of people from Ward number 1 joined the celebrations to mark 75 years of independence.
BJP Mahila Morcha J&K spokesperson, Ritika Trehan led Tiranga Rally in Jammu and youth, students along with employees took part in the programme in which many National Flags were hoisted by people atop their houses, shops, offices, business and public places as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
A programme on Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was organized at Bhatindi Madrasa where BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria was chief guest and BJP ST Morcha state president, Haroon Choudhary was guest of honour. Inspired by spirit of patriotism, hundreds of children raised slogans of Hindustan Zindabad, Saare Jahan Se Achcha Hindustan Hamara etc.
Joining the Azadi Gaurav Padayatras of Congress, a Padayatra was led by former Minister, Vikar Rasool Wani in Banihal. Speaking on the occasion Wani said that Congress is undertaking the Yatra to pay tribute to the heroes of the nation who helped India achieve independence from the British rule.
On the eve of the 75th Independence Day, Congress organized a massive Tiranga rally in Jasrota assembly constituency of Kathua. Speaking on the occasion Congress leader, Thakur Balbir Singh said nation is celebrating 75th Independence Day and it is all due to the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters that the nation achieved Independence.
Under the leadership of Bajrang Dal, a grand Tricolor rally was organized in Samba. Leaders of Bajrang Dal and VHP along with prominent people of the area participated in the rally. On this occasion, Anshu Sharma, Bajrang Dal district president and Kashmira Singh, VHP vice president addressed the gathering.
On 4th day of campaign Har Ghar Tiranga under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, J&K Police organized Tiranga rallies and distributed thousands of National Flags among people to mark 75th Independence Day.
A mega Tiranga March was organized by Bandipora Police which was flagged off by SSP Bandipora, Mohmad Zahid. At the onset of the march the SSP administered a pledge to officers and jawans to abide by the ideals of Constitution of India, respect the National Flag and uphold the unity & integrity of India.
Kulgam Police organized special Tiranga rallies in collaboration with district administration Kulgam in which CRPF and students of various educational institutions participated.
Awantipora Police organized multiple Tiranga rallies across Police district Awantipora in which youth from different areas, Police officers and Jawans participated and sang patriotic songs.
Doda Police organized motor vehicle rally in Doda town which started from District Police Lines Doda with participation of Police Band and contingents of District Police in nearly sixty vehicles. It concluded back at DPL Doda after moving through entire town.
Budgam Police launched a special campaign to paste stickers of Tricolour with Independence Day message on vehicles as a part of ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Kathua Police organized Tiranga Bike Rally in jurisdictional areas of NHW Police Stations including P/S Hiranagar, Rajbagh, Kathua and Lakhanpur to celebrate 75 year of independence. SSP Kathua, R.C Kotwal along with Addl. SP Kathua, Suresh Kumar Chib and other officers of Police and Civil Administration were also present on the occasion.
More such rallies were also conducted in the jurisdictional areas of Police Station Billawar, Malhar, Basohli, Bani areas.
District Police Reasi under the overall supervision of Amit Gupta, SSP Reasi distributed National Flags and stickers across District Reasi to continue the campaign Har Ghar Tiranga.
IRP-19th battalion Kathua under the supervision of SSP, Benam Tosh, Commandant distributed five thousand National Flags among common people at different localities across the district to generate patriotism. A large number of people participated in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
As part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, district administration Kishtwar in collaboration with School Education Department and District Youth Services & Sports Department Kishtwar today took out a Prabhat Pheri and organized a road show. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and SSP Kishtwar, Shafqat Hussain Bhat flagged off the Prabhat Pheri.
Range Police Hqrs Batote under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amarit Mahotsav and nationwide campaign Har Ghar Tiranga, held a programme under ‘Ek Shaam Shahidon Ke Naam’ under the command of Sunil Gupta, DIG DKR Range Batote.
Har Ghar Trianga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated at Mount Litera Zee School Jammu where the chief guest, Shamsheer Singh Manhas, former MP Rajya Sabha along with School Chairman, Dr. Parneesh Mahajan and others distributed Tricolor to the students and encouraged them to hoist the same atop their homes.
Aroma Foundation Public School Lower Roop Nagar participated in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the National Flag hoisting ceremony was accomplished by Principal of the School, Rajni Sharma after which the students presented patriotic songs, dances and skit.
BVP regional president North, Dev Raj accompanied by SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli and president, Ashok Khajuria flagged of Tiranga Bike Rally led by BVP Project Director, Trishula Gupta at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar. Participants in the rally were Additional Secretary Region North, Ameeta Sharma, Dr. Santosh Gupta and other team members from Shivalik Branch constituting Mahila Wing of BVP.
Members of Executive Body of J&K Excise State Taxes Employees Welfare Society led by their president, Vijay Sharma hoisted National Flag under Har Ghar Trianga programme. Senior vice president of Society, M.L Sharma; secretary, Rajinder Khajuria and others were present on the occasion.
Raghunath Bazar Businessman Association organized a Tiranga Rally which was led by Association president, Sanjay Gupta. SP Kulbir Handa, Dy.SP Sharad Kalu and SHO City Rakesh Sharma accompanied the rally.
All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations and youth of NSYF celebrated Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by hoisting the Tricolour and paying tributes to all those who bought freedom. R.K Kalsotra, state president of Confederation spoke on the occasion.
Youth of Malpur Panchayat in Jammu led by Ex Sarpanch Babhishan Singh carried out ‘Tiranga Rally’ as a part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. A large number of youth took part in the rally comprising of bikes and cars.
DDC Member Loran, Rayaz Bashir Naz organized a Tiranga Rally on bikes as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark celebration of 75th Independence Day. The rally was received at Nato Auditorium by Brigadier Rajesh Bhashat, ADC Basharat Hussain, CEO MP Singh and other officers.
