JAMMU, Feb 3: Students of Government SPMR College of Commerce here today organized a rally for spreading awareness against the use of drugs.
The rally was attended by over 500 students and was a powerful display of commitment of the next generation to lead a drug-free life.
The students marched through the streets holding banners and placards that read ‘Say No To Drugs’ and ‘A Drug-Free Life is a Better Life’.
The rally was not just a display of solidarity against drugs but also an opportunity for students to educate their peers and the public about the dangers of drug use.
Dr. Barbara Koul, HoD Commerce while addressing the rally said that drug abuse is a serious issue that affects individuals, families and entire communities and it is time to come together to raise awareness and work towards a solution.
Principal of the College, Dr. Surider Kumar appreciated the efforts of the HoD Department of Computer Sciences, Dr. Parveen Singh for spreading awareness against drug use and to make J&K drug-free.
The rally was attended by Sandhya Bhardwaj, Prof. Naresh, Prof. Meenakshi, Prof. Rameshwar and other faculty members.
The whole rally was coordinated by Prof. Naresh Kumar and Prof. Rameshwar.
