JAMMU, May 7: BJP national general secretary organization Ram Lal today took stock of the functioning of the Party in the state and addressed a joint meeting of senior leaders, State office bearers, MLAs and Morcha presidents at Party Headquarters soon after his arrival from Union Capital here today.
Addressing the meeting he urged the Party activists to focus on their respective polling booths and acquaint themselves with problems of the people and other related issues. The meeting was convened by BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma.
Ram Lal said that the booth level committees constituted by the party need to be given special attention and the district Prabharis should ensure their regular visits to every mandal of each district. He said the effective involvement of the senior leaders in looking into the problems of people at grass root level will prove to be of great benefit. He said that the Party’s Mission 2014 has set a target of recording ten per cent increase in its votes in each constituency and hence the party leaders and grassroots activists should devote more time to achieve the target.
Earlier, Ram Lal was introduced with the office bearers of the team constituted by new president, Jugal Kishore Sharma, who presented a detailed note of the Party’s organizational set up and political activities being undertaken in different parts of the State during the last three months.
Besides Leader of Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria and National Executive Members Dr Nirmal Singh and Shamsher Singh Manhas, the meeting was also attended by Chander Prakash Ganga, Col (retd) Uttam Singh, Sukhnandan Kumar (MLA), Usha Choudhary, Vibodh Gupta, Sakina Bano, G M Mir, Kavinder Gupta, Rajiv Jasrotia, Chander Mohan Sharma, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Suresh Jamwal, Yudhvir Sethi, N D Rajwal, Harinder Gupta, Kabla Singh, Pawan Khajuria, Munish Sharma, Rajni Sethi, Chander Mohan Gupta, Parmod Kapahi, Lalit Moza, Sanjiv Sharma, Balbir Ram Rattan, Arun Chibber, Rajinder Sharma, Naresh Dogra, Subhash Gupta, Karan Singh, Priya Sethi, and Surinder Bhagat.
