Ram Madhav, Bakaya, Dar call on Governor

SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Ram Madhav, National General Secretary BJP, called on the Governor N. N. Vohra here today.
Before reaching Srinagar Madhav visited the Indo-Pak border where the residents of over two dozen villages have been very badly affected by the incessant firing from across the border.
Over 10,000 of the affected villagers including young children and elderly persons have been accommodated in the temporary camps in Arnia and R.S. Pura, in a number of schools and public buildings. Mr Madhav urged the Governor to take immediate action for ensuring that the villagers living in the camps were provided all the basic amenities, including the required medical facilities. The Governor informed Madhav that he would speak about this matter with the Chief Minister.
Vijay Bakaya, Member, J&K Legislative Council also called on Mr Vohra, Governor and discussed with him issues relating to the growth and development of the State, the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants and certain matters relating to the forthcoming electoral process.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rashid Dar, former Chairman, State Legislative Council, called on Mr Vohra and discussed with the Governor the varied problems relating to the balanced growth and development of district Anantnag and the adjoining areas of South Kashmir. He also voiced his views about the emerging political process in the State.
