Ram Mahayagya to be held at Kameshwar Temple

AKHNOOR, Jan 14: Mahamandaleshwar, Rameshwar Das Ji today informed that this year on the occasion of Shiv Ratri, Ram Mahayagya and Ram Katha would be organized at Kameshwar temple Akhnoor.
He was addressing a press conference on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sakranti, at Akhnoor Kameshwar temple today.
Mahamandaleshwar said that Shivratri is a holy festival of Hindus, which is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm and devotion in Akhnoor Kameshwar temple on occasion of which Ram Mahayagya and Ram Katha will be organized in the temple from February 12 to February 20 this year, in which Dr. Mahant Satyanarayan Das Ji Maharaj will be the narrator.
Mahamandaleshwar said that learned Pandits from Vanaras and Kashi will start this Yagya. He said that the main objective of the Yagya is that there should be happiness and peace in Jammu and Kashmir and the souls of those who have been made victims of terrorists may get peace with the prayers and pious Yagya. Mahamandaleshwar requested the devotees to participate in this Yagya and become a part of the virtue by offering their prayers in the most holy Ram Mahayagya.
Expressing anger over the massacre in Dangri of Rajouri and the continuous selective killing in Kashmir, Mahamandaleshwar has demanded that those who commit such acts should be put to death as soon as possible. He said that the Government should take appropriate steps for the protection of Hindus. Mahamandaleshwar also expressed anger over the cases of cattle smuggling in Akhnoor area and appealed to the Government to take strict action against the cattle smugglers.
