JAMMU, Aug 19: A free medical camp was organized at Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre, Udheywala, near here, today.
In this camp, a renowned Nephrologists, Dr. S. K Bali, ENT Specialist, Dr. Ashok Sharma, Gynecologist, Dr. Manjula Sharma, General Surgeon, Dr. Kamal Gupta, General Physician, Dr. B. D Sharma and Dr. Rajinder Wazir, Ophthalmologist Dr. Reema Sadhu, Physiotherapist, Meghna Sharma and Dentist, Dr. Umesh Padha, Orthopedic, Dr. Vijay Sabharwal examined the patients free of cost.
Apart from this blood sugar test, HBALC, lungs – asthma, and BP tests were also done free of cost. Total 250 patients were screened in this free medical camp. Refreshments were also arranged for all the patients. Along with this, some medicines were also distributed free of cost to the patients. In the camp more than 80 sugar tests and 30 lung tests were conducted free of cost.
Swami Yajnadharananda Ji, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu said that Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission were established by Swami Vivekananda in 1897. He said India’s national ideals are sacrifice and service. “We should serve the patients in a spirit with which we worship the God in temple’’. He said “We will try to organize free camps every month, everyone should take advantage of it,. The next free medical camp will be held on 3rd September 2023, Sunday. On that day Dr. Ajay Kumar Pandita, a very renowned Orthopedic Specialist will provide services’’, he added.
Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu continues to provide cultural, educational, and medical services following the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada and Swami Vivekananda.
