Ramakrishna Mission organises free medical camp

JAMMU, July 21: A free medical camp was organized at Ramakrishna Mission, Udheywala, Jammu here, today. Renowned Cardiologist of Jammu, Dr. Nikhil Mahajan, ENT Specialist, Dr. Meenu Gupta, general surgeon, Dr. Kamal Gupta, general physician, Dr. B. D Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Wazir, Ophthalmologist, Dr. Reema Sadhu, Physiotherapist, Dr. Meghna Sharma and Dentist, Dr. Umesh Padha, Orthopaedic Dr. Vijay Sabharwal, Gynecologist, Dr. Manjula Sharma provided free check-up in this camp.
Apart from this, blood sugar, HBA1C, uric acid test, ECG and BP tests were also done free of cost. A total of 345 patients were screened in this free camp in which 45 patients were of heart disease only. Refreshments were also arranged for all the patients. Along with this, medicines were also distributed free of cost to the patients. In the camp, more than 140 sugar tests, 50 uric acid tests and 35 ECG tests were done free of cost. SMVD Narayana Hospital and Women Empowerment Hub, Mission Shakti, Jammu also helped to organize the free check up camp.
Swami Yajnadharanand Ji, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu said that Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission were established by Swami Vivekananda in 1897. He said India’s national ideals are sacrifice and service. Shiva Jnana se Jiva Seva means that Shiva is present in every person, with this feeling one should serve and care for them. He said that we will try to organize a free camp every month and everyone should take advantage of it.
He said Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu provides cultural, educational and medical services following the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.
