RAMBAN, Apr 3: District Administration Ramban has contested a news report published today wherein it was stated that the expenditure under District Capex for the year 2021-22 was only 50% in case of Ramban District.
An official spokesman while quoting figures today stated that under Area Development Fund (ADF) comprising PRI, BDC & DDC Grants, an expenditure of around 67% was booked against allocated cost of Rs.46.07 crore. “Against 1996 works taken up for which Rs.41.86 crore were released, 1867 works were physically and financially completed and an expenditure of Rs.30.75 crore booked,” he said adding that the actual expenditure against allotted tendered cost goes even further up.
Under Capex Budget 2021-22, District Administration Ramban took up 2116 works against which 1911 were physically and financially completed.
Highlighting the challenges confronted by District Administration given the hilly and hostile terrain of Ramban District, the spokesman further added that final CAPEX Budget figures for District Ramban including ADF, CCS and Regular UT components are also being shared with Finance & Planning, Monitoring and Development Departments shortly.
