RAMBAN, Feb 4: To fight increasing cyber crimes like online frauds, financial crimes, cyber thefts, extortion, phishing, social media frauds etc Police here today started a dedicated Cyber Cell at District Police Headquarters Ramban.
The Cyber Cell was inaugurated by SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma in the presence of Viqar Younis Bhat, DySP DAR Ramban and Om Parkash, DySP Headquarters, Ramban.
A handout stated that the Cyber Cell will not only investigate and address Cyber Crime but will also play a pivotal role in training the subordinate staff and Investigating Offices of Police Stations within the District to equip them with necessary skills to handle Cyber Crime cases effectively.
Furthermore, the Cyber Cell will enhance public awareness about cyber security by providing citizens with strategies to safeguard themselves against cyber threats.
