SAMBA, Sept 29: Ramgarh Police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 700 grams of poppy straw from him today.
Police said that acting against the drug menace and its propagators on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma , SSP Samba, Ramgarh Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 700 grams of Poppy Straw from him.
It said a police party of P/S Ramgarh headed by Inspector, Vikas Dogra , SHO P/S Ramgarh under the close supervision of Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur, during checking at Naka Rarian, Ramgarh, intercepted one person moving under suspicious circumstances. During his frisking, 700 gms of Poppy Straw was recovered from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Raj Masih S/o Bachan Masih, R/o Bainglad, Samba. He was arrested along with contraband item. In this regard, a case FIR No. 66/2018 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act was registered at P/S Ramgarh and investigation taken up.
