UDHAMPUR, Mar 16: Due to unprecedented delay in clearing the landslide, the Ramnagar-Basantgarh-Dudu road is still lying closed for the last three weeks.
The road was closed due to a landslide on February 22 at the same area, which was damaged in September 2020.
Meanwhile, locals held a strong protest against delay in clearing the road for vehicular movement. The protest was held under the supervision of DDC Ashri Devi, Pawan Rasal Vikram Singh,Sagar Chand (Sarpanch Basantgarh), Arjun Singh, Ganesh Kumar, Kishori Lal Jagdish Chandra, Reva Devi Hartish and villagers of Majori.
DDC Ashri Devi said that the people are suffering for the last 20 days as this road connects many villages, including Dudu, Jakhed, Kirchi, Pachound, RaiChak, Kadwa, Shivgali, Khaned, Ponara, Basantgarh, Upperla Balota, Majouri, Gandhtop, Latti etc.
