Ramnagar town to get facelift: Pathania

RAMNAGAR, May 15: Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Ramnagar constituency, R S Pathania exhorted for a face lift to the picturesque and historical township of Ramnagar.
While addressing gathering after distributing cheques to the beneficiaries under IHSDP scheme here today, the MLA stressed for a Master Plan for Ramnagar town with long-term as well as short-term ramifications, having space for recreational and sports facilities, viable tourist base for tourist areas (information centers, snow-skiing and general awareness for religious places. He also sought truama centre, business/industrial zones, study centre, I T Park, Herbal Park, for proper markets (mandis) for small agriculturists, horticulturists, floriculturists, apiculturists, seri-culturists and others in the area.
The MLA announced that as many as twenty roads in Ramnagar Municipality and other parts of the sub division were going to be macadamized. He said that coal tar-laying on Samba to Battal road, Majalta Morh to Majalta and Kuarnoo to Plater roads will start soon. He also announced an additional shopping complex at Ghass Mandi and Bus Stand and a separate toilet complex at Bus Stand, Ramnagar.
He directed officers of Ramnagar Municipality to immediately repair all defunct High Mast Lights in the town, clogged public toilets and littered drains and install dust-bins in Ramnagar town. He also issued directions for immediate repairing/operationalising fountains at Natha Singh Park in the town. He also issued instructions for driving out all wild animals from Ramnagar Municipality.
While issuing joint instructions to SDM Ramnagar and EO, TAC Ramnagar, the MLA asked for locating an alternative place for Bus Stand, Ramnagar as due to plying of buses from the heart of Ramnagar town, jams and congestions are creating public nuisances and hardships for the local people. Many officials from PWD (R & B), RDD, PMGSY, Health Deptt, PHE, Education, Soil Conservation wing, Forests, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Floriculture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare Department besides Sarpanchs/Panchs and prominent people were present on the occasion.
