Rana inaugurates JK Bank’s business unit

JAMMU, Aug 18:   Going ahead with its network expansion, J&K Bank today dedicated another fully computerized business unit equipped with all financial products & services, at Gole Gujral, Jammu.
Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Devender Singh Rana inaugurated the branch in presence of Bank’s President and Zonal Head Jammu (Central) O P Sharma, Vice President Arvind Gupta and a large gathering of customers and public.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rana said, “J&K Bank is the pride of the State. It is the corporate face of J&K with one of the best Human Resource under the leadership of Chairman Mustaq Ahmed”.
Recalling his long association with bank ,Mr Rana lauded the evolution of the bank over the last two decades to become one of the fundamentally strongest banks of the country. He appreciated the commitment of the bank to reach every nook and corner of the state and exhibiting full zeal to sustain the economy of the State and bring everyone under its fold.
He further said “This is a great opportunity for the people of area to take full advantage of all the financial services offered near their doorstep by pioneer in banking, J&K Bank and they should take full advantage of employment generation schemes SKEWPY and Kissan Credit Cards.” Mr Rana also stressed upon the banking fraternity in the State to improve the CD Ratio and Priority Sector lending.
President& Zonal Head Jammu (Central)  O. P. Sharma said, “Our mission is to provide end-to-end financial solutions through fastest modes even to the poorest of poor and to reach those who have not yet reached banking fold.”
“This branch has been opened by bank for the convenience of the residents, shop keepers, customers and public at large”, he added. He further said “the bank is determined to increase its reach in the state by opening new business units and installing more and more ATMs”.
Elaborating on the employment generating scheme SKEWPY,  he said that already 217 units have been established in the zone. The performance under Kissan Credit Cards has also been encouraging as 10000 Kissan Credit Cards have been issued to beneficiaries out of a half yearly target of 13000 cards.
