MENDHAR, May 20: Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed Rana today conducted an extensive tour of Sangiot and other villages of Balakote tehsil of Mendhar constituency.
The MLA was apprised of the problems being faced by the people and they mostly pertained to shortage of drinking water and poor electricity supply.
Addressing the meeting, MLA referred to the delay in work on PMGSY road of Sangiote and said it is the cause of concern. He said that officers claimed that funds have been exhausted while the road is still incomplete.
The MLA claimed that more funds worth Rs 40 lakh would be provided so that this road is completed without more delay. He said while blacktopping of road has already completed, the remaining stretch will be completed at the earliest in second phase,” the MLA said.
Rana further claimed that the sanction of funds to the tune of Rs 1.50 crore stand made by department for water supply scheme of the area and he was following the case seriously. It is hoped that the work on this scheme will start within few weeks.
After problem of shortage of sitting infrastructure in Government High School, Sangiot raised by local population, MLA announced that 100 desks will be provided from his CDF in the school.
