Ranbireshwar Temple to be thrown open for devotees on Mahashivratri

JAMMU, Mar 1: The iconic Ranbireshwar Temple would be thrown open for the devotees on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
This was disclosed by Vikramaditya Singh, Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust, during a visit to the historic temple in the heart of the city, to assess the progress of the restoration efforts within the premises of the temple, which was damaged due to lightning in the month of October, last year.
Vikramaditya Singh expressed profound satisfaction at the pace and quality of the restoration and renovation works being carried out in preparation of the upcoming Mahashivratri festival.
He assured the devotees of timely access to this revered shrine in view of the upcoming Mahashivratri festival.
He disclosed that the Shri Ranbireshwar Temple will be fully opened for devotees in the first week of April 2024 and then the Trust will also showcase its achievements in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Vikramaditya Singh, along with Martand Singh, Trustee, visited the Central Office of J&K Dharmarth Trust and inspected the functioning of the management and officers.
Trust’s President Brig R.S Langeh (Retd) along with Secretary Ashok Kumar Sharma welcomed the Trustees and briefed them about the functioning of the Trust.
The Trustees closely examined the functioning of the management and officers, emphasizing the importance of efficiency and dedication in their duties.
They directed both officers and employees to work with renewed dedication to fulfill the objectives of the Trust.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva and constructed under the patronage of Maharaja Ranbir Singh in 1883, the Ranbireshwar Temple stands as a beacon of spiritual significance in the heart of Jammu city.
