Randeep Hooda visits border migrants’ camps at Nowshera

RAJOURI, May 20: Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda today visited relief camps at Nowshera and interacted with the migrants displaced from the LoC due to Pakistani shelling in district Rajouri.
Hooda visited the border migrants relief camps on the invitation of  Khalsa Aid — an NGO serving people in the conflict zones, affected of natural disasters.
The actor interacted with the border migrants and enquired about their sufferings and well being.
Expressing shock over loss of lives and property of border migrants who have been targeted time and again, he condemned violations and targeting civilian population on any side of the border. He said that certain measures were essential to ensure safety and security of border area people.
Later talking to media persons, Hooda said that he had heard a lot about preaching of Sikhism and it attracted him to ‘Khalsa Aid’ group serving for humanity.
”I have come across from local inputs that there are 4,000 displaced people from over 1000 families of about a dozen affected villages in the camps set up by the Government,” Hooda  said. He also lauding the role of ‘Khalsa Aid’ for providing them all basic requirement and free meals at the community kitchen (Langar).
He however, said that to the outside world and the people in Delhi, Mumbai, people of entire Jammu and Kashmir were suffering due to violence or cross border firing but actually it is only two and half districts, which are facing the trouble.
”Why cross border shelling is happening. I cannot comment on that but it should be stopped for the people living on both sides of the border,” said the actor.
The new look of Randeep Hooda for his upcoming film Sarbjit,  however, also inspired the ‘Khalsa Aid’ members at the camps.
He also met children and old persons in the camp and assured them that ‘Khalsa Aid’ will provide every possible help to them during the hours of need.
Hooda said, ”The best way to find refuge in gratification is by serving the refugees.”
