Randhawa distributes ration among specially abled persons

Senior BJP leader, Vikram Randhawa distributing free ration among specially abled persons in Rajiv Nagar on Monday.

JAMMU, Apr 10: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader distributed ration among specially abled persons in Rajiv Nagar area of Bahu Assembly Segment.
He was accompanied by Amit Gupta, Haroon Choudhary, Dr Davinder Singh, Ashok Vaid, and many others.
Randhawa informed that Prime Minister led Central Government’s decision of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) had provided much needed relief to the down trodden persons.
During the period of PMGKAY scheme no one slept hungry, he said and added that “PMGKAY is a welfare scheme announced by the Government in March 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic which has proved beneficial for the needy and the poor families”.
Former Legislator said that with this scheme around 80 crore households of the nation were benefitted, adding that under the extended PMGKAY, each beneficiary was provided additional five kilograms free ration per person per month in addition to the normal quota of food grains under the NFSA.
“As life is coming back to mainstream, still PM is concerned about the plight of the poor and needy people”, he said, adding that the decision to extend the PMGKAY shows the commitment of the Modi Government towards the welfare of the poor.
He asked the party workers to inform him about anyone, who is in need of ration, so that needful can be done for them.
Randhawa said that in Pakistan people are fighting for a single bag of wheat or rice, but the Modi led Government is reaching out to each and every person in need.
Apart from PMGKAY, Randhawa also informed about other schemes launched by the Central Government led by Narendra Modi for the benefit of the common masses.
