JAMMU, Sept 23: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa here today handed over a release order of Rs 10 lakh to Balgran-a charitable home for destitute children at Channi Rama.
Speaking on the occasion the MLC said, during his previous visit to Balgran a demand for construction of a dormitory for girls was raised.
He said that fulfilling the demand an amount of Rs 10 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund has been released in favour of Balgran for the same.
He said that the work of the dormitory would be taken up by the Jammu Development Authority for which funds have been released.
Randhawa has urged upon the people to come forward and support the orphan and poor children at Balgran so that they may not feel alone in this world.
He assured the Balgran management of all possible assistance in future also.
