JAMMU, Nov 2: In a significant step towards improving infrastructure across the Bahu constituency, MLA Vikram Randhawa today kick-started the blacktopping of a long-awaited road work in Colonel’s Colony, Ward No. 2 of the Cantonment area.
The initiative was taken in response to the longstanding demands of local residents for better road connectivity and reflects the MLA’s commitment to enhancing civic amenities in the region.
After starting the road work, Vikram Randhawa expressed gratitude to the residents of the Cantonment Board area, acknowledging their overwhelming support in the recent Assembly polls. “The people of Cantonment Board have shown immense trust in us, and it’s my responsibility to ensure their voices are heard and their needs met. I assure the residents of all seven wards of Cantonment Board that their civic issues will be addressed with utmost priority,” he stated.
Randhawa highlighted his commitment to fulfilling various local demands, particularly concerning essential infrastructure like lanes, drains, electrical cables, and consistent access to clean drinking water. He underscored the significance of these developments, not only in improving daily living conditions but also in fostering long-term growth and connectivity within Bahu constituency.
Speaking about the larger vision for the region, Randhawa credited the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for spearheading transformative initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He noted that these efforts were a testament to the Central Government’s dedication to uplifting local communities and addressing pressing civic challenges with a systematic approach.
Later, Vikram Randhawa interacted with people of Cantonment Board, listening to their concerns and suggestions. Residents voiced issues related to water supply, sanitation, and street lighting, to which the MLA assured prompt action. He reiterated his commitment to making Bahu constituency a model area for infrastructure and service delivery.
