JAMMU, Mar 19: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Vikram Randhawa started blacktopping work of road at Chatta Panchayat of Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment with an estimated cost of Rs 16 lakh.
BJP leader said that for the first time after the Independence that the people of this area have been witnessing blacktopping of this road, which was long pending demand of the inhabitants.
“Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of great Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on the theme of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas’ and is committed for the overall development of all the areas of Jammu”, Randhawa said, adding that no ward will remain deprived of basic amenities and development of every citizen is our main motto. He said that many projects are in pipeline for Jammu which will change the face of the city.
“BJP is working to mitigate problems of the people and give them respite from miseries which they are facing in the last over seventy years”, he said, adding that central dispensation has provided surplus funds for the development works across the Union Territory and that is the reason behind irresistible development trail going on in Jammu and Kashmir. He said instead of talking about big things the BJP leadership is focusing on local issues which can make a big difference in the lives of people.
Local residents expressed their gratitude for taking up their pending demands time to time, on priority. They also apprised former Legislator about some other issues for early disposal.
Randhawa assured the people that all the genuine demands shall be taken up for redressal with the concerned authorities.
On the occasion, former MLC threw light on the various flagship schemes launched by the Central Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi including Ayushman Health Card, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, etc for the benefit of the common masses.
Anwar Hussian, Raman Sharma, Mohd Hussian, Gulshan Sharma, Davinder Sharma, Harbans Lal, Tarsem Lal, Amit Gupta, Darshan Devi, Shakti Devi and many others were present on the occasion.
