Randhawa kick starts construction of culvert

JAMMU, Oct 27: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today kick started the construction work of a culvert at village Chatta in Gandhi Nagar, Assembly Segment.
Ch. Vikram, who had visited the above mentioned village and kick-started the construction of the culvert in the above mentioned village which would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 12 lakh. MLC had released the funds from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the construction of the said culvert. Randhawa also issued directions to the officials to complete the culvert as soon as possible so that the people do not suffer any more.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that during his earlier visit to the village after being elected as the member of the Upper House, he was shocked to see that the people living in the area had no all weather road link and were facing hardships during rainy season. He then had promised the people to provide funds for the construction of the culvert.
He said that today he had kept his promise and has started the construction of the culvert as BJP has firm belief in the slogan of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’.
The locals present on the occasion appreciated the initiative of the MLC and said that since independence number of leaders of the constituency had visited the area and promised them for various developmental works but none of them turned back after getting elected.
They announced whole hearted support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ch. Vikram Randhawa in particular.
