JAMMU, June 3: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today provided 20 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to Swami Vivekananda dispensary, Shastri Nagar, here in presence of councilor of Ward No-22, Jaideep Sharma.
The PPE kits were provided by Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, for distribution among the Corona warriors who are fighting the virus from the front. While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that Swami Vivekananda dispensary is serving the mankind since decades and is manned by the retired doctors who offer their services to the people without charging a single penny.
He said that they manage the affairs of this dispensary from their pension and other resources and it is our duty to provide them all possible help in a time when entire world is fighting a very rare pandemic that has claimed lakhs of lives till date. Randhawa further said that these doctors are still offering their free services to the needy people and their safety is must and keeping in view the kits have been handed over to them so that they may feel safe while serving the mankind.
The staff and management of Swami Vivekananda dispensary expressed their gratitude to Ch. Vikram Randhawa and his team for providing them PPE kits for their safety.
Bharat Sharma National Executive Member, BJYM while speaking said Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh has provided PPE kits, sanitizers and masks for distribution among the Corona warriors in different parts of Jammu region. In addition to it Dr Jitendra Singh also deputed the party men in distribution of relief among the needy people in different parts of Kathua, Udhampur and Doda Lok Sabha Constituency, he added.
Those present on the occasion include Bharat Sharma, Dr Yog Raj Padha, Dr Balwant Rai, Dr Parshotam, Dr Davinder Kumar, Parshotam Gupta, Raman Gupta, Puran Chand, Jeet Choudhary, Narinder Singh, Dr Parshotam Khajuria and Dr Davinder Gupta.
