Randhawa reaches out to 40 needy families

JAMMU, Apr 7: Continuing its endeavor to help the poor and needy people during lockdown announced by the Prime Minister of India to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa today reached out to 40 needy families of Ward No-45 in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment.
On the 40th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Randhawa along with Councilor Raj Rani Jamwal today distributed ration among forty families of Ward No-45 which were identified by the local councilor and other leaders of the party. A kit of 21 kgs each containing Atta, Rice, Potato, Onion, Tea, Mustard Oil, Soap etc were handed over to the poorest among poor families of the Ward.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that these families are poorest among poor in the Ward and till now nobody has approached them to know their well being during the lockdown. He urged upon the local populace to take care of all the poor families in their vicinity and ensure no one sleeps hungry. He said that the nation has shown unprecedented support in the hours of crisis and distress and continuing the same it has emerged as one of the most disciplined nation across globe that followed its leader’s word.
He said that the support of the public is must in containing the spread of the Corona Virus and at this juncture we should not hesitate in helping those in need. He also urged upon the people to take all preventive measures and maintain social distancing even while helping others.
