‘Rangla Jammu’ presented

KATRA, Apr 13: The mega cultural show of world class ‘Rangla Jammu’ a presentation of Natrang Jammu, designed and directed by Balwant Thakur organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board opened here today at the auditorium of Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra.
Presented with the active participation of over 60 artists and technicians, Rangla Jammu was the distinctive cultural album of Jammu region showcasing the variegated type of completely different colours, rhythms, costumes, style patterns and creative expressions. This superb bouquet of rarest performing art traditions fantastically unfolded the mesmerizing creative traditions of the hills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Hills. The jam-packed audience transported along to a dramatic journey of rarest singing traditions, rituals and festivities of Dogras.
The programme was conceived, scripted, designed and directed by Padamshree Balwant Thakur. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Natrang Jammu deserve all praise and appreciation for this distinctive presentation of J&K’s culture. If these reasonably electrifying performances still seem on stage, surely nobody can ever consider watching movies and TV.
Such reasonably power packed performances will definitely revolutionize the cultural scene of this region and therefore the folks shunning their culture, disowning their roots won’t solely be ashamed of what wrong they need wiped out distorting their own identities. This was indeed a presentation to be should seen by all.
Natrang will repeat this show again on April 14 and 15, 2013 at  the Auditorium Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra and will stage the last show of the series at Maatirika Auditorium, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board University, Katra on April 16, 2013.
