Rangyug stages ‘Dheeth’

JAMMU, July 15: On the inaugural day of Nukkad Plays’ series being organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, theatre group Rangyug staged Dogri play ‘Dheeth’ at Maharaja Hari Singh Park here today where a large number of people watched it.
It was 682nd time that this play was staged and by this it has become the only play with a record in the history of theatre in Jammu for being watched by record number of people at different venues during the last 15 years.
The play compels people to think of the long term implications of encroachments of lanes, roads and other public places besides making them realize the ill effects of polythene which not only chokes our drains but also veins.
The play revolves around a mentor and his disciple who land in Jammu to take a view of the city.
Artists who performed in the play were Avnish Sharma, Soham Kashyap, Danish Sharma, Rishi Kumar Pawa, Shivan Gupta, Sonik Singh, Sahil Sharma, Shubham Khajuria and Shadi Lal.
