SAMBA, June 6: Member Legislative Council (MLC) Rani Gargi Bloeria today inaugurated the construction work of the link road of about 1 km stretch from Bakhha Chak to Mandlyal at Vijaypur.
The amount (Rs 4 lakh) for the construction of the said road has been sanctioned by MLC from her Constituency Development Funds (CDF).
Addressing the gathering, MLC Bloeria reiterated her commitment to work for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden people vis-à-vis women folk in particular.
She said that after completion of the said work the other demands of the people of the area including construction of public conveniences will be taken up.
Bloeria asked the people to strengthen the hands of the Congress party so that the programmes and policies of UPA Government regarding development, health care, education, sports activities and unemployment will reach every nook and corner of the State in particular and country in general.
Among others present were Sarabjit Singh, Shiv Kumar, Ram Singh, Manjeet Singh Billa, Tarsem and Balbir Singh.
