Ranji Trophy: Kerala beat Services, collect 9 points

KANNUR :  Kerala beat Services for nine wickets and collected six points in the Group C Ranji Trophy match at Thalassery.
Kerala’s total point has raised to 19 out of seven matches. This was the first outright win of the hosts in this session, while Services have eight points from seven matches.    Resuming the overnight score of 122/6, Service were bundled out for 174/10 in 45.4 overs. However, they avoided a innings defeat and sent hosts to play in the second innings.    The wicket of Saurabh (Services) fell at 41(48) and he could not add any run to his last day score. While his companion wicket keeper Nakul Verma scored 40 (79) with the help of three fours. Tail end batsman Suraj Yadhav smashed buckling 36 (35) with 4 fours and 1 sixes which helped visitors avoid innings defeat. While spinner Akshay Chandran six wickets for 39, another local lad spinner P U Anthaf took two wickets.
