RAJOURI, Sept 18: The police arrested a youth for committing rape on a minor girl in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district today.
A police spokesman said that on the complaint of the parents of the girl, the accused Tinku alias Lucky (21), son of Jeet Kumar, resident of Baja Bayeen in Sunderbani was nabbed from Jammu. The accused had taken the 17 year-old girl to Katra and then to Jammu. On the basis of a clue, Sunderbani police raided a location at Jammu recovered the girl. The boy was arrested and brought back to Sunderbani while girl after medical examination was handed over to the family. A case has been registered in this connection.
