Rape accused in police net

JAMMU, Jan 11: Satwari police arrested a man for raping a girl several times on the pretext of marriage.
As per police sources, police team from Satwari police station conducted a raid in RS Pura and arrested a man, who raped a girl several times on the pretext of marriage.
The accused has been identified as Parveen Kumar, son of Subash Chander, a resident of Nandpur, tehsil RS Pura.
The man was arrested in a case registered with Satwari police station under FIR number 195/2014 under section 376 RPC.
It is to mention that, on December 15, 2014, a girl hailing from village Aarian-Da-Kothe, Punjab, presently putting up in a rented accommodation at Gadigarh visited Satwari police station along with application duly endorsed by CJM Jammu for registration of rape case. In the application, the girl stated that the aforesaid accused raped her several times on the pretext of marriage.
After completing legal formalities, police established the offence and finally arrested the accused Parveen Kumar.
Police team led by SHO Satwari police station Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary and incharge police post Gadigarh PSI Vishal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
