Rashly driven Dumper hits 7 vehicles, 2 overturned

RAMBAN, July 7: A rashly driven Dumper vehicle here today hit about seven vehicles near Peeda-Kunfer on Jammu Srinagar Highway.
Police sources informed that the rashly and negligently driven Dumper bearing registration number JK19-5944 while on way to Ramban from Jammu hit at least seven parked vehicles including the one of Mahindra make with registration number JK19-7279, another of EICHER make with registration number PB10HH-6847 and more vehicles with Registration Numbers JK02BQ-8285, JK14-2028, JK14F-1594, JK18-5646 and JK12B-1558.
Dumper driver was identified as Rattan Singh, son of Neak Ram Bhagat, resident of Sangaldan, Ramban.
Driver of Mahindra make vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident.
All the seven vehicles involved in the accident suffered damages.
Due to the accident vehicular traffic remained suspended till the accident hit vehicles were removed from the Highway.
However Police has not registered an FIR in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing Registration Number JK21J-3823 loaded with vegetables was on way from Jammu to Srinagar and was driven by Bashir Ahmed, son of Anayat Ali, resident of Samba in a rash and negligent manner due to which the vehicle over turned when it reached near Jaswal Bridge and the driver received minor injury.
The accident took place under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station.
Apart from this a truck bearing Registration Number JK02AR-1657 overturned in Maroog area on Jammu Srinagar Highway and no one was injured in the accident.
