JAMMU, Feb 7:  Providing a platform to talented local playwrights, J&K Rashtra Bhasha Parchar Samiti, Jammu, organized a ‘Natya Path’—play reading session of Sudhir Mahajan’s plays and book release function of ‘Galat Vayakaran’ by Kumar A Bharti, at the K  L Saigal Hall, here today
The highlight of today’s evening was the impressive rendering of the script of his two plays by Sudhir Mahajan, well known theater director, actor and playwright. His first short play ‘Bruhnoon Ki Pathshala’ was based on theme of feticide while the other ‘Mein Vivekanand’ was a philosophical take on the Swami Vivekanand’s quest for real god. Kumar A Bharti’s Dogri play ‘Manukha’ was read by K L. Mast.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Aman Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art and Culture, the  chief guest while Janak Khajuria noted Theatre and TV artist and Sardar Baljeet Raina, prominent dramatist, writer, the special invitees—all praised the quality of the plays that raise pertinent issues related to changing landscape of human values.
Veteran multi-lingual scholar Prof. Satpal Shree Vatsya also spoke on the occasion. Neeru Sharma read welcome address, while Sunita Padwal conducted the proceedings of the programme. Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas presented vote of thanks.
The prominent who were present in the programme included Dr. K C. Dubey, Rahat Hussain, Sardar Deedar Singh, Hardeep Singh, Vijay Seth, Shiv Dev Singh Sushil, Amin Banihali, Khurshid Kazami and Amita Mehta.
