Rashtriya Rifles dedicates 10th Raising Day for social cause

RAJOURI, July 5: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Kalakote under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) celebrated 10th Raising Day and also dedicated the same for social cause.
During the Raising Day, plethora of events for the betterment of the society and humanitarian causes were organised.
The activities of the day started with a mega blood donation camp wherein 188 units of blood were donated. The aim of the camp was to spread awareness among the people to come ahead for such noble gestures in more numbers.
To bring the people together and provide the quality entertainment, a cultural evening was organised at Kalakote stadium by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in collaboration with Saraswati Kala Kendra Poonch, headed by Pardeep Khanna. Cultural evening was dedicated to a social theme of women empowerment and saving of girl child. The Dogri, Punjabi, Hindi patriotic, Bollywood songs, dance numbers and finest folk dance performance took the event to higher altitude.
Rashtriya Rifles Battalion carried out plantation drive at PHC Sailsui and Mahogala, tehsil Office and CHC Kalakote.
Medical camps were organised by the Battalion to benefit the local populace hailing from border and far flung areas of villages including Bamliya, Thrangriot, Sia, Bandhari, Desli, Ransu, Una and Karota, in which 206 persons including 47 females, 123 males and 36 children were examined.
