Regarding the ongoing Assembly session, he said, “most of the proceedings have been completed. We have passed the Budget and ensured that members have the freedom to speak in the Assembly. The session will continue for three more days, during which members will be able to raise public issues.”
Minister for Education and Social Welfare Skeena Itoo also criticized the bill, stating that the National Conference had already decided to oppose it. “We do not have much power there. How many members do we have? Just three. The role of those three was to oppose the bill, and they have done that. What more could we do? Because we have only three Members of Parliament, those who opposed the bill yesterday have fulfilled their role,” she said.
