NEW DELHI: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today hailed Jammu and Kashmir Assembly’s ratification of GST saying it has completed the economic integration of the states with the country. Addressing a gathering on the occasion of birth anniversary of Jansangh leader Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Mr Jaitley said, “Yesterday a big initiative took place when the GST got passed in the J&K Assembly.”
He said that the decision of the J&K assembly to pass the resolution to ratify GST is in the interest of the people of the State as it will make the goods and services available at cheaper rate as it will be available in the rest of the country. (AGENCIES)
