JAMMU, Oct 10: Acting swiftly on the complaint of the villagers, the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs (FCS&CA) placed ration dealer of village Khour under suspension and ordered an enquiry against him.
The action against the erring dealer was taken after a deputation of village Khour met Director FCS&CA R.A Inqlabi and complained that some ineligible people are figuring in PHH list which include a lecturer of the Education Department and a Dy. Superintendent of J&K police.
The complaint further alleged that deserving people have been left out of the list of beneficiary and the names of those persons have been included who don’t reside in village. It was also alleged that separate ration cards have also been made by dealer for un-married persons/youth.
Acting on the complaint, Director ordered the AD to suspend the dealer.
An inquiry was also ordered in the matter and TSO FCS&CA, Bishnah was appointed as enquiry officer.
