JAMMU, Aug 12: To oversee the rationalization of Higher Educational Institution in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Government today ordered constitution of a committee.
Headed by the Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department, the committee shall study the requirements of Higher Educational Institutions in the UT and rationalization of the existing institutions.
The committee shall recommend the criteria for opening of future Higher Educational Institutions in the Union Territory and submit its report within a period of 15 days.
Director General (Budget), Finance Department; Director General (Codes), Finance Department; Director (Finance), Higher Education Department and Director (Planning) Higher Education Department are Members of the committee, which shall be serviced by the Higher Education Department.
