JAMMU, Dec 30: Securing 68 votes out of a total of 104 votes, Ravi Kumar Verma has been elected president of Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha, the election of which was held here today.
Out of the four candidates in fray including Shashi Verma, Ramesh Angotra, Jagdev Chalotra and Ravi Kumar Verma, the first two withdrew from the election to make it contest between Ravi Kumar and Jagdev Chalotra, wherein the former got 68 votes and latter 35, thus winning the contest by a good margin.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Lajpat Rai, Harbans Lal, KC Raina, Puran Chalotra, Prof Kalidass, Inderjeet , Harbans Lal Verma, Balwant Kataria and Amarjeet.
