JAMMU, Feb 8: Inauguration function of newly constructed Kitchen, Pever Red Tiles and Special Water Supply Pipeline in Christian Community Complex Ward No. 6, Wazarat Road, Jammu was held today.
The function was organised by All India Masih Seva Dal under the chairmanship Camres David Babbloo, its president and Featus Sotra vice chairman, All India Masih Seva Dal. The chief guest of the function was Ravinder Sharma, former MLC and chief spokesman Jammu and Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee (PCC). Shaukat Peter Chief Patron, All India Masih Seva Dal and president of Church priests of Joint Church Fellowship Jammu, Church Priest, Udai Singh, St. Paul Church and Parshotam Mehra, vice chairman OBC were the Special Invitees.
All India Masih Seva Dal complimented Ravinder Sharma for helping in getting funds to the tune of Rs. 21.9 lakh released for Christian Community Ward No. 6. They also complimented Ex. Chief Engineer, PHE for sanctioning special water pipe line from D.C. Office to St. Paul Church and providing funds to the tune of Rs. 540 lakh.
Addressing the gathering, former MLC, Ravinder Sharma appreciated the efforts of Masih Seva Dal in engaging themselves in the service of people, especially their community. He said that India is known worldwide for the unity in diversity because of living in peace and harmony despite large diversities of religious, castes, languages and cultures. He appealed people to live in peace and communal harmony. Camres David president on the occasion demanded two percent reservation to Christian Community in Government jobs. In this regard he made an appeal to Lt Governor G C Murmu.
The All India Masih Seva Dal demanded J&K Minority Commission be revived with inclusion of at least two members of J&K UT and one member of the community at the national level.
Prominent among others who were present included secretary, St. Paul Church, Danail Bhatti, Rohit Feastus Sotra and Christian Youth and other members of the community.
