JAMMU, Feb 24: A deputation of Raghunath Bazar Business Association (RBBA) led by its president, Baldev Khullar, today met ERA CEO, Vinod Sharma and demanded him to ensure timely completion of proposed 7-level parking project here at Super Bazaar.
The deputation said that the proposed parking project, the work on which is scheduled to begin from April 1 this year and complete within one year, should not be allowed to delay. The deputation said that to ensure timely completion of this project it is required that the vehicles being already parked at the venue of the project be provided with alternate space.
The RBBA deputation suggested that as a temporary measure, these vehicles should be allowed to park at various schools like Maharaja Hari Singh School, Central Basic School, Ranbir Higher Secondary School and DPS Jammu, and Auqaf land across the city.
The deputation stated that since the proposed parking is meant only for the customers coming to city area, proper parking facility for the residents on 24 hours or monthly basis and shopkeepers of the city on 12 hours per day or monthly basis be provided at places like Samadhian Road and behind SMGS Hospital.
ERA CEO gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that their demands would be looked into.
While Chief Engineer ERA, Superintendent Engineer ERA and Execitive Engineer ERA were also present, general secretary, RBBA, Sanjay Sethi besides Joginder Gupta and Vijay Gupta were accompanying the deputation.
