SRINAGAR, Sept 15: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Dr. Raghuram Rajan met Governor N.N. Vohra at Raj Bhawan here last evening.
Dr. Rajan and Governor discussed issues relating to the State’s financial stability. Dr. Rajan referred to the initiatives taken by the RBI for improving the banking services and about the implementation of various social schemes and self employment programmes sponsored by the Government of India. They also discussed the hurdles which still come in the way of sustained credit flows, particularly to alleviate the lot of the poor.
Meanwhile, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, BJP Spokesperson called on Governor and discussed several issues relating to the urgent need for bringing about socio-economic development of women and also submitted a memorandum.
