RBPS organizes multi-lingual Kavi Goshthi

JAMMU, Mar 24: Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti (RBPS) here today organized a multi-lingual Kavi Goshthi at Mahatma Gandhi Library, Nanak Nagar in which prominent poets and poetesses from Hindi, Dogri and Punjabi languages participated.
The participating poets and poetesses in Kavi Goshthi were Chandroadya, Vijaya Thakur, Amarjeet Kour ‘Neer’, Sanjeev Bhasin, Suman Pal, Amita Mehta, Girija Sharma, Seeta, Parveen and Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’.
The programme started with Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, secretary RBPS Jammu giving a detailed account of the continuous activities of the Samiti.
He said that promoting Rashtra Bhasha Hindi is their duty but regional languages should also be given due recognition and for the same their organization conducts multi-lingual programmes.
Baljit Singh Raina, eminent Punjabi & Hindi poet, story writer, novelist and filmmaker while presiding over the function said the multi-lingual Kavi Goshthis offer an opportunity for the participants as well as literature lovers to enjoy poetry written in different languages.
The Kavi Goshthi was conducted by Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’ who presented vote of thanks also.
