JAMMU, Apr 1: Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants R K Pandita today assured a delegation of displaced Pandits that the issue of ration will be sorted out soon.
Mr Pandita informed the delegation during the meeting that the last month’s quota of ration will be disbursed up to April 10 in all camps including Jagti as well as non camp localities.
The representatives of CAPD and ration depot holders were also present in the meeting. He also assured the delegation that efforts will be made to sort out other issues as early as possible.
The delegation of Jagti Coordination Committee (JCC) led by Ravi Zutshi which called on RRC while highlighting their problems expressed concern over the non availability of ration at Government ration depots. It said that the migrants were not given the ration for the month of March till date. It also highlighted the other issues including prolonged power cuts, construction of shopping complex at Jagti etc.
