RAJOURI, Aug 27: Members of Rotary Club (RC) Jammu Tawi today visited Village Dangri, Rajouri district today to interact and support families of the civilians killed and those injured in January this year.
Dr Dushyant Choudhary (past Governor Rotary), Ashok Kumar Gupta (Retired IGP), Ramneek Singh (president), Balwinder Singh (secretary), Jaswant Rai Gupta and JP Singh interacted with the members of the affected families and them financially.
Rotarians assured the villagers of Dangri to maintain liaison in future or any help like free operations in Congenital Heart Disease in children and eye operations of poor persons.
Saroj Bala who lost both her sons and other elders of the village spoke and recounted details of the gruesome incident and their grievances. Those who spoke include Kewal Sharma (Retired Deputy SP), Balraj Sharma (Retired Army Captain), Som Raj (Retired Naib Tehsildar) and sarpanchs Dheeraj Sharma and Om Parkash.
