Srinagar, Aug 1: The Resident Commissioner, J&K, has written a letter today to the National Board of Examinations (NBE) regarding the demand for setting up an examination center in Srinagar for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty (NEET-SS)-2023 aspirants from Kashmir.
This development follows a complaint lodged by aggrieved doctors with the J&K Grievance Cell, urging for a designated examination center in Srinagar for the upcoming NEET-SS scheduled for September this year. The matter was also previously reported by Excelsior.
The letter sent to the NBE stated, “In this regard, I am directed to request that the matter may kindly be looked into with utmost priority at the earliest.”
It is noteworthy that around 450 doctors currently working in various hospitals across Kashmir are preparing to appear in the examination to secure admission to super specialty courses.
The concerned aspirants had previously appealed to LG Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter, aiming to avoid the necessity of traveling to Jammu to take the examination.
