RDA appeals people not to promote corrupt system in healthcare

JAMMU, Oct 30: Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA), Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and associated hospitals today appealed the general public no to offer any type of greet to any hospital employee and cooperate with the doctors for better health care services.
In a meeting of the association held here today under the chairmanship of RDA president, Akhil Gupta, the speakers condemned the incident that took place yesterday inside SMGS Hospital in which some Nurses and Nursing Orderlies demanded money from the attendants of a patient in turn of handing over the newly born baby to them.
“Such practices going on in the Government hospitals are not only pathetic but harmful for upcoming generations”, Dr Akhil Gupta said and appealed the people not to give even a single penny to any employee in any hospital.
Meanwhile, Dr Pawan and Dr Waseem Chouhan requested the common masses to cooperate with the doctors by regulating the attendants only one with one patient or two in emergency cases inside GMC emergency and SMGS hospital.
