JAMMU, Apr 11: The BJP Government has lost the trust of the people, because of utter failure of Govt to fulfill their tall claims during and after elections and their opportunist and contradictory stand on every important issue in J&K,” JKPCC working president and Congress candidate from Jammu Parliamentary seat Raman Bhalla said today.
During election campaign and road shows in Akhnoor and Chamb Constituencies under the leadership of former DyCM and Chairman Congress Campaign Committee Tara Chand today, Bhalla said BJP has badly failed to respect the mandate of the people by making a complete ‘U-turn’ on their propagated policies and ideologies for the sake of sharing power and got exposed for “double standards” before and after coming to power. “Their shift and surrender dismayed and disappointed people of J&K besides exposing their hollow and false commitment to their slogans always used by them to hoodwink the people,” he said.
As a political party, it’s the biggest sin to desert the cause of the people when they are suffering the worst nightmare in their life,” he said.
“We have never compromised with communal and oppressive forces and will never do it, no matter what challenge BJP pose before us,” he said. Take it from me, the BJP will suffer its biggest ever defeat in the 2024 elections. People are full of disgust and resentment against the Modi Government. They are waiting for their moment to dethrone it,” Bhalla said.
Former DyCM Tara Chand appealed people of Akhnoor and Chhamb constituencies to whole heartedly vote and support Bhalla for the development of constituency which was severely hit under BJP Govt in presence of Congress contesting candidate Bhalla. He came down heavily on BJP candidate Jugal Kishore for creating a hype over ‘development’ which in reality is nowhere on ground with people craving for basic amenities like never before.
In a sharp reaction against Jugal’s questioning on Congress party’s role in the development of the Constituency, Tara Chand retorted back saying instead of focusing on matters confronting the people of the constituency in the last ten years, sitting MP who has no connect with the constituency, is now trying to deceive people by raising non-issues and diverting their attention from joblessness, farmers’ plight, poor healthcare facilities etc.
Senior party leaders Satish Sharma, Kuldeep Verma, Manjeet Singh Jatt, Rashpal Sharma, Madan Lal Sharma, Bansi Lal Gupta, Santosh Manhas, Shom Raj Sharma and others also accompanied.
