“It is the time when we shouldn’t issue statements against each other, but I am surprised that the intensity with which Omar Abdullah was talking about the issues during the elections, that intensity is altogether missing now as the issue is regarding the safeguard of Article 35-A. They seem to be more apologetic,” he said.
“There have to be collective efforts, but if somebody is scared then they should say that they are scared. Rest regarding the collective efforts at this time, let them just decide the venue and we will be there for giving out our support,” he added.
Asking National Conference to increase its tone as this juncture, he said: “NC is a big party, they should increase the intensity, they have 3 MPs; they should talk in and out of the Parliament. I think, when they said that, they will accept the court verdict on the issue, that was the blunder on their part if they stood for this, then why did they boycotted the Panchayat and ULB elections,” he said.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and ex-Member of Legislative Council Muzaffar Parray along with his workers joined Peoples Conference in presence of PC Chairman Sajad Gani Lone and other party leaders today.
Muzaffar Parray, while speaking on the occasion termed this day ‘as the happiest day of his political life and said that “he has full confidence in the vision and leadership of Peoples Conference which is the only party in Kashmir with potential to take our state out of the conflict and give a way to a new era of stability and economic development.”
