LADAKH, July 5: The Union Territory Administration in Ladakh has reallocated the departments among the Administrative Secretaries after the transfer of former Commissioner/Secretary Saugat Biswas to Arunchal Pradesh. It has also ordered transfers of two Deputy Commissioner ranked officers.
An order issued in this context said that in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs Order dated June 8, 2023, Saugat Biswas, has been transferred and posted to the State of Arunachal Pradesh and relieved from the UT Administration of Ladakh. Further, Amit Sharma has joined the UT Administration of Ladakh on July 3.
Accordingly, Sanjeev Khirwar, Principal Secretary, has been allocated School Education, Housing and Urban Development Department, and Industries and Commerce Department while as Amit Sharma was allocated Rural Development Department, Information Technology Department, Science and Technology Department, Transport Department, Disaster Management, and Relief Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department.
Further, Ravinder Kumar, who is holding the charge of Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, has also been assigned the charge of Hospitality and Protocol Department, Estates Department, Civil Aviation Department in addition to the department already held by him as Administrative Secretary. He shall also hold the charge of Resident Commissioner of the UT of Ladakh.
Another order issued by the Ladakh Administration said that Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Deputy Commissioner, Leh, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kargil replacing Santosh Sukhdeve, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, who shall swap the position with Shrikant Balasaheb Suse as Deputy Commissioner Leh.
