REASI, Sept 25: In order to highlight the bravery, valour, courage and martyrdom of the police persons who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and to make these martyrs as a role model and source of inspiration for the young generations, District Police Reasi has launched a programme “Remember the Martyrs”.
Under this programme, the bravery, valour, courage and martyrdom of the Police personnel are being shared with students of the school in which they got education.
In this connection, a simple but impressive function was organized at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Reasi wherein rich tributes and homage were paid to Martyr Sgct Kamal Kishore, who hailed from Gran Morh Reasi and had sacrificed his life while fighting with terrorists in Khanayar Srinagar in 2018.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Reasi, Rashmi Wazir highlighted the bravery of the Martyr Kamal Kishore and advised the students to choose these martyrs as their role model. She further said that more such programs will be organized in the district to pay tribute to the martyrs of Reasi. Sh. Mohan Sharma and Geeta Devi parents of martyrs also paid tribute to their son.
During the programme, a photograph of the Martyr Kamal Kishore was also displayed in the office of the Principal Govt Boys Hr Sec School Reasi. At the end of the programme, a tree was also planted in the memory of the martyr.
Others who spoke on this occasion, included Shiv Kumar Chouhan, Addl SP Reasi; Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, Dy SP DAR Reasi; Waseem Mehmood, Dy SP Hqrs Reasi; Principal, School staff and students of the school.
