REASI, Dec 8: The 28 kilometer road from Reasi to Tote has been dedicated to police martyr SgCt Kamal Kishore.
Chairperson DDC Reasi Saraf Singh Nag and Officers of Jammu Province including ADGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Raghav Langer dedicated the road in the name of the martyr.
On the occasion, while commemorating martyr Kamal Kishore, the dignitaries along with family members unveiled the road sign plate and paid floral tributes to the martyr.
SgCt Kamal Kishore was born to Mohan Lal and Geeta Devi in Gran Morh village of Reasi on 01-04-1988. He got his primary education from Government Middle School Gran Morh Reasi and upper school studies from Government Higher Secondary School Reasi. He joined J&K Police in 2009 and posted in IR 10th Battalion. He voluntarily joined operational group of J&K Police in Cargo Srinagar in 2011. For his extra ordinary operational performance, he was given ‘out of turn’ promotion as SgCt. He attained martyrdom while fighting against terrorists in an encounter in Fatekadal Srinagar. He fought bravely and killed two anti-national terrorists in the operation. For his valour and bravery, he was conferred Shaurya Chakra Posthumously. Mohan Lal father of the martyr received the award for his brave son from President of India on 22nd November 2021 in an investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan New Dehli.
Parents of martyr Kamal Kishore also proudly participated in the function.
Suleman Choudhary DIG UR Range, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh, SSP Reasi Shailender Singh, DDC member Jag Jeevan Lal, ADDC Reasi Jyoti Salathia, ADC Abdul Satar, ASP Katra and Reasi, SDPOs of Reasi district and Tehsildar Reasi were also present on the occasion.
